Army of Darkness Bruce Campbell, Embeth Davidtz (1992, MCA/Universal, R, $95.98) Perched cleverly (if incoherently) between Monty Python, EC horror comics, and MTV, director Sam Raimi's final installment in the Evil Dead trilogy time-warps its department-store-clerk hero (Campbell) into the Middle Ages, where he has to fight off skeletal platoons, punch-happy zombies, and tiny li'l ticked-off versions of himself. With its manic lowbrow humor and hokey special effects (they look lousy even on the small screen), Army suggests a Ray Harryhausen highlights tape edited by the Three Stooges. B
