Judgment Night (1993)

EW's GRADE
A

Details Lead Performance: Various Artists; Genres: Hip-Hop/Rap, Metal, Soundtracks

Various Artists Judgment Night (soundtrack) Rock/rap fusion has been in the wind for a while now, and this movie soundtrack brings together the major players in each genre and asks them to come up with songs that headbangers and homeboys alike can relate to. Some of the pairings are predictable (Living Colour and Run-D.M.C., Slayer and Ice-T), others serendipitous (I mean, Dinosaur Jr and Del The Funky Homosapien?), but more often than not the collaborations are inspired (Mudhoney and Sir Mix-A-Lot, Faith No More and Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E., and Pearl Jam and Cypress Hill). Can't vouch for the film, but the album is a must. A
