Love & War (1992)

EW's GRADE
B-

Details Genre: Comedy; Network: CBS

Annie Potts, liberated from Designing Women, is downright heroic as the replacement for Susan Dey in the new season of Love & War (CBS, Mondays, 9:30-10 p.m.). Costar Jay Thomas remains dogged but mirthless; among the supporting cast, only Joanna Gleason, in the way she gives her limp lines a sharp snap, elicits an occasional smile. Maybe Potts and Gleason could be spun off into their own, better series. C-
