The man of Steel finally met his match-at least in the Nielsens. The Sunday- night debut of NBC's underwater drama, seaQuest DSV, was a cross-gender hit (men put it in second place for the week; women ranked it third), while the debut of ABC's new Superman-inspired series, Lois & Clark, lagged in 13th place (7th for males, 13th for females). The kid from Krypton took it on the chin from ABC's Wednesday-night Thea special as well (it came in 7th), although Supe did beat the premiere of NBC's The Second Half (25th), the second-week showing of NBC's The John Larroquette Show (14th), and the third week of CBS' Angel Falls (62nd). Fox's Living Single did better its fourth week (up to 23rd from 46th), as did Daddy Dearest in its third week (49th from 55th). Last Viewers* Top 20 Week
