Lead Performance: Def Leppard; Genre: Metal
--
Hard rock, '80s style, is supposed to be fun, and that's just what zillion-selling Def Leppard delivers in this collection of B-sides, unreleased items, and other scraps. Yes, there are thoughtful tracks and (special bonus for those who love the genre) two killer power ballads, delivered in both acoustic and electric versions. But mostly the band just rocks out -- which is pretty damn welcome, since its last album was, inexplicably, such a bore.
