On his fourth solo effort, the former Cars front man continues to be lyrically obsessed with pop's underbelly, making it palatable with catchy hooks and polished production. Bad Brains bassist Darryl Jenifer, Cars' keyboardist Greg Hawkes, and Ocasek's all-time hero, Alan Vega from the pre-industrial synth duo Suicide, give the CD some feverish jams.
