Recent episodes of Beverly Hills, 90210 may have implied that Brenda (Shannen Doherty) and Dylan (Luke Perry) would rekindle their three-season romance, but don't be fooled-this chick's moving on. Her new flame: David Gail, who debuts on the Oct. 13 show as Stuart Carson, a 24-year-old college dropout working for his rich dad. Gail, 28, who appeared in Aaron Spelling's failed The Round Table, has 90210 looks (brown hair, green eyes), and his character talks a smooth line (''Slow dances with me are like potato chips. You can't have just one''). Will he succeed where others have failed? Maybe he can learn from the reject pool: *DYLAN, independently wealthy high school kid. WHY HE FAILED: Never sleep with your girlfriend's best friend when your girlfriend is in Paris cheating on you. FAMOUS LAST WORDS: ''I guess we're better off...as friends.'' *RICK (Lois & Clark's Dean Cain), l'ami parisien. WHY HE FAILED: As a summer traveler in France, he was too-how you say?-stupide to realize Brendah's accent was faux. FAMOUS LAST WORDS: An off-key version of ''Great Balls of Fire.'' *TONY (Michaael Cudlitz), steroids-taking football player. WHY HE FAILED: His neck was thicker than her waist. FAMOUS LAST WORDS: ''So I guess this means I'm not getting a going-away present?'' *JASON (Maxwell Caulfield), UCLA law student who dated Brenda during the first season. WHY HE FAILED: Sleeping with a minor is still against the law in California. FAMOUS LAST WORDS: ''You're in high school?!?!?!
