BLOODSONG Jill Neimark (Random House, $20) Neimark's first novel is a love story with a desperate twist. The heroine, Lynn, is sexually and emotionally obsessed with Kim, a man torn between her and another woman. He's also a murderer. But competing with the plot is Neimark's language; she basks in words like a cat in sunshine. Even in a panicked rush to the hospital, Lynn has time to see city bridges ''lie like inverted harps on (the) waters.'' And when Kim is injured, his wound pleases Lynn: ''His flaw is an invitation. I might find my way in through it.'' Neimark's indulgence in words, like most indulgences, can be irritating when it gets out of hand. But when it works, it's seductive and luxurious. B-Kate Wilson
