Robert Redford isn't the only person to pay for a night with Demi Moore. In its first week on video, the spring 1993 theatrical smash Indecent Proposal entered the rental charts at No. 2, second only to Disney's Aladdin. Renters may be having a one-night stand with Demi, but buyers aren't shelling out the big bucks for a longer commitment to her: At its $99.95 price, the movie's not hot on the sales chart.
Yet laserdisc buyers don't seem to be suffering from any sticker shock when it comes to the Star Wars Trilogy. The nine-disc collection has been at or near the top of the chart for three weeks even though it costs a whopping $249.98.
