PORING OVER THE SUDS

Finally, someone has created a daily soap recap show that is entertaining, gossipy, and informative: E!'s Pure Soap (4-4:30 p.m.; repeats at 7 and 11:30 p.m., 10 a.m., and 12:30 p.m.). u High marks for: Hosts Shelley Taylor Morgan, a former soap actress (General Hospital, Days of Our Lives), and acerbic TV Guide columnist Michael Logan. Their Siskel & Ebert-ish banter can be a hoot. * Points off for: Those dull call-in questions; they slow the show, and the hosts obviously know what questions are coming. And Shel, stop sitting in the lotus position. This is national TV-not yoga class. * What they need: More of Logan's biting sarcasm. And if they lose the callers (please!) they'd have time for brief synopses of each soap. * Recommended dosage: Four times a week. (Hey, that's high praise considering I should be bitter that E! didn't hire me for the gig!
