Details Lead Performance: Psi Com

The only thing that embarrasses stars more than having old porno shots turn up is having their first musical forays unearthed. Which is why Perry Farrell may want to hang his head over the release of an album, he cut with his first group, Psi Com. You'll recognize little of the revolutionary sound Farrell later concocted with Jane's Addiction or Porno for Pyros. Instead, this 1985 platter apes the most banal Gothic and new-wave acts of its period: Siouxsie and the Banshees meet the Fixx. For archivists-and sadists-only. D
