There's no stopping that Garth man. A week ago, when last we tracked him in this space, he'd just aired his TV special, and in its wake had albums sitting at No. 2 and No. 5. Now-with an additional week of post-TV sales tallied up-he rules No. 1 and No. 3. It can't be emphasized enough: Garth Brooks is this year's (and last year's) primo pop phenomenon, and in fact the hugest pop phenomenon in several years. Nirvana is the only current pop act matching his numbers.
