In Hired to Kill, a slick but laborious actioner, a chauvinistic blockhead, posing as a gay designer, leads gorgeous female mercenaries on a covert operation to free a political prisoner. The results are curiously timid — right down to the hero's chaste coupling with a raven-tressed resistance leader. D
