If you're wondering why CBS' March 1 telecast of A Woman Scorned: The Betty Broderick Story didn't include any scenes from one of America's most lurid recent murder trials, the answer is simple: Can you say sequel? In the wake of top 5 ratings for the fact-based drama about a San Diego woman (played by Meredith Baxter, right) who shot her ex-husband and his new wife, producers Kenneth Kaufman and Tom Patchett are picking up where Scorned left off-right after the killing. Kaufman says part two, with Baxter returning as Broderick, will shoot this June and air on CBS this fall.
