In Ricochet this untenable, vigorously overdone actioner, the usually homey Lithgow turns in a dark performance as a maniac who plots elaborate revenge on the hotshot cop (Washington) who put him away. Unfortunately, horrible cropping for video mitigates this wide-screen flick's showy action outbursts, plunging it one full grade to a C-.
