In Bad Channels, a cheerfully cheesy sci-fi spoof, aliens take over a radio station and use its broadcast signal to seek out pretty young earth women. Then they shrink the babes to Barbie doll size and stick them in specimen jars. The victims' only hope rests with deejay Dan O'Dare (Paul Hipp), a hostage behind his own microphone. Can a mere radio personality turn the tables on outer space invaders? Is Howard Stern obnoxious? Produced by the straight-to-video schlockmeisters at Full Moon Entertainment, this romp is more intentionally comic than, say, Dollman. Somehow, though, it isn't any funnier. Director Ted Nicolaou belabors some lame running gags (such as the mock rock videos that accompany each earth girl's abduction) while generally zapping through the action with little evident enthusiasm. Viewers will be doing the same with their fast-forward buttons. D
