The Olympics: A History of the Games is a briskly illustrated survey of the Olympic Games from their shaky revival in 1896 to the 1992 Winter Games in Albertville, France. After having lavished so much research on photographs, athlete profiles, and time lines of historic events, it seems a shame not to have waited a few more months to include this summer's games.
