Same hand, new deal pretty much defines the Top 10 rentals chart this week. Au pair thriller The Hand That Rocks the Cradle jumps from No. 10 to No. 1 its first full week in stores (helped, perhaps, by the front-page acquittal of real-life au pair Olivia Riner in the celebrated White Plains, N.Y., trial), and the rest of the list merely reshuffles last week's deck. Look for director Steven Spielberg's big, bad Hook to weigh in heavily next week, though. Disney continues its dominance on the sales chart, with 1986's The Great Mouse Detective debuting in the top slot and various other animated titles holding down Nos. 2-7 as well.
