BABES IN TOYLAND Fontanelle (Reprise) The fontanelle is the soft spot on the back of a babe's head, but this Fontanelle is rock hard. It's a fast, furious, threatening documentary of what girls who just want to have fun really talk about when they are together: the imbalance of the sexes, skewed popular perceptions of women, getting their own back. The music is fetchingly grungy, with loose-jointed guitar and zealous drum patterns fueling the two singers' sweet-'n'-lethal vocals. One of these days, women making ripsnorting rock & roll that is as angry as it is sexy won't be a cause for scandal in the male bastion of rock. But until that time, there are Babes in Toyland. A- -AB
