If you want the complete details of Art Buchwald's successful four- year lawsuit against Paramount over a share of the profits from the Eddie Murphy vehicle Coming to America, you'll have to curl up with this 576-page document by Buchwald lawyer Pierce O'Donnell and L.A. Times reporter Dennis McDougal. Buried beneath the record of virtually every fax, phone call, and court date is some interesting information on the studio's financial skulduggery plus a few good Buchwald quips, but the proportion of dross to gold is far too high.
