Collin Raye, whose treacly ''Love, Me'' made him a star last year, apparently had a lot more artistry in him and better taste in material than his exceptionally bland debut, In This Life, conveyed. His sweet and earnest tenor could work up a steamier sweat on ''I Want You Bad (And That Ain't Good),'' but with more delicate songs, such as the blue ''Somebody Else's Moon,'' Raye shows the nuances that separate an ordinary crooner from a gifted interpretive singer.
