Flynn (2009)

Whatever brio propelled Pearce (L.A. Confidential) to play Errol Flynn, the most charismatic rogue ever to don tights, was apparently spent before filming began on this Aussie pic: Pearce lacks both Flynn's dangerous immorality and disarming charm. How sad that the story of this actor — who'd been a seasoned philanderer, an explorer, and a murder defendant before hitting Hollywood — could be rendered so bloodless. C-
