Grand Puba's smooth, sleek delivery dominated East Coast rap circles when he anchored the group Brand Nubian's 1990 debut. But this time he shelves the politics in favor of picking up girls and finding fun. Even though Reel to Reel ends up sounding like different versions of the same song — sly beats slathered with cocksure rhymes — it's a great song. B+
