Lead Performance: Ned's Atomic Dustbin; Genre: Rock
B+
With their geeky name, Ned's Atomic Dustbin, you'd expect these limey alternative hipsters to be too cute, quirky, and forgettable. Not so. This second album has depth (pointed songs about infidelity and/or violence), staying power (a groovy dual-bass drone that sucks you right in), and one powerful opener in the grungily Beatles-esque ''Suave and Sophisticated.'' In short, Are You Normal? isn't. B+
