The finest voice in Phil Spector's stable, Darlene Love put spine-tingling soul into wholesome odes to teen romance (several of them credited to the Crystals). This one-CD collection covers her greatest hits — including 1962's ''He's a Rebel'' — in routine fashion, but the music on The Best of Darlene Love, which is nearly all from a two-year stretch in the early '60s, is anything but routine.
