For Bruce fans who didn't get a chance to catch him on this year's tour, welcome to Lucky Town. The 18 songs on Bruce Springsteen in Concert: MTV Unplugged — including two, ''Living Proof'' and ''If I Should Fall Behind,'' that didn't appear on the original MTV broadcast — provide an excellent sampling of the 1992 Bruce. His storytelling between songs — especially when he describes writing ''Local Hero'' after seeing his image in black velvet at a discount store — is priceless. But his best moments are when he's alone with his guitar or backed by Roy Bittan's piano, doing ''Red Headed Woman,'' ''Growin' Up,'' and ''Thunder Road.'' If only there had been more truly unplugged moments like these during the show. A-
