On Jan. 13, NBC brushed the cobwebs from Barnabas Collins' coffin, and 24 million viewers peered inside-enough to give Dark Shadows a shot at becoming the season's first new dramatic hit. Interest in the two-hour premiere of the Gothic serial, which placed 27th, and in Bob Hope's Saudi Arabia special (12th) helped NBC to its biggest weekly win of the season. CBS wasn't as fortunate with the premiere of the Farrah Fawcett comedy Good Sports, which drew a disappointing 16 million viewers to finish 54th. But the network cited a 50% improvement from the time slot's previous occupant, Doctor, Doctor, and is likely to be very patient. ABC may not have that luxury; its ''second season'' shows have made barely a ripple. The Monday premiere of Under Cover came in 65th, then dipped to 83rd in its first Saturday airing, and the return of Equal Justice finished 66th.
