Even as the summer movie months approach, the spring slump continues. Topping the box office this week were two lackluster openers: the gizmo-laden FX2, which grossed a disappointing $5.4 million considering its 1,499-screen release, and Blake Edwards' man-in-a-woman's-body farce Switch, which despite a sizable publicity push yielded only $3.7 million. In its 27th week of release, Dances With Wolves is well on its way to a total domestic gross of $175 million. WEEKEND TOP TEN GROSS WEEKS IN GROSS* TO DATE RELEASE
