The Bill Murray-Richard Dreyfuss comedy What About Bob? had an impressive break from the gate, proving the first strong opener of the season, with a $9.22 million gross. Meanwhile, Madonna's Truth or Dare expanded to 538 screens and rocked the house with an excellent $3.38 million. Since concert films tend to burn out quickly, insiders said it was too early to say whether the highly touted documentary would have box office legs. In the midst of these hot summer openings, Brian Bosworth's Stone Cold got frozen out with a middling $2.8 million. WEEKEND TOP TEN GROSS WEEKS IN GROSS* TO DATE RELEASE
