The Comic Relief gang tosses up an entertainment air ball in The Great Blooper Caper, its latest video effort to raise funds for the homeless, mixing real-game bloopers in with a running gag that has new ''NBA commissioner'' Whoopi Goldberg trying to lighten up pro hoops by naming Billy Crystal, Bob Saget, and other comics as NBA head coaches. While the funny guys are off their game (one exception: Weird Al Yankovic hawking chemical-laden junk food in the stands), the game-action bloopers manage — for once — to be amusing without ridiculing the great athletes committing them.
