Now that Hollywood insiders are done dining out on gossip from Julia Phillips' You'll Never Eat Lunch in This Town Again, their table talk is turning to a , new industry expose still in proposal form. The book — tentatively titled Dirty Little Secrets: A Story About Paramount Pictures and the Abuse of Power in Hollywood — will be coauthored by Gordon Weaver, former president of marketing at Paramount (from 1982 to 1984), and Ted Schwarz (The Hillside Strangler, The Peter Lawford Story). In August 1990, Weaver pleaded guilty to evading taxes on approximately $70,000 in kickbacks from contractors and vendors seeking to do business with Paramount. Focusing on current and former Paramount executives — including Barry Diller, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Michael Eisner, and Martin Davis, whom Weaver calls ''the Black Prince of Gulf + Western'' — Weaver says Secrets will detail the abusive practices that ''drove the studio into the ground.'' Though the book has yet to find a publisher, word of its contents is ubiquitous, and Schwarz is predicting a fall '92 release.
