Karen Voight's Pure & Simple Stretch (1991)

EW's GRADE
A

Details Movie Rated: Unrated; With: Karen Voight

Some health writers warn that we could become a nation of overly tight-muscled potential hunchbacks from too much aerobics and too little stretching. Pure & Simple Stretch by Karen Voight, the maven of L.A.'s funky Voight Fitness & Dance Center, is meant to help straighten us out. A superb aid in restoring muscular flexibility and releasing tension, it's 35 minutes of pure and simple stretching. The music is soothing, the moves are clear and easy to follow (with a warning always to stretch gently, never forcing), and the camera angles and close-ups are generally helpful. A superb use of video in an area that's (literally) sorely needed. A
