has offered skilled, fierce parody in its first few weeks, and

The Famous Teddy Z
After a long hiatus, the fast-talking Teddy Zakolakis (Jon Cryer)
and the fatuous Al Floss (Alex Rocco) return to the schedule with new

SUNDAY, 5/13
Do It Yourself TV
Funny home videos submitted by ordinary Americans (yes, it does
sound strangely familiar) are the basis for an hour-long pilot with
blooper king Dick Clark and comedian Darryl Sivad. NBC (7-8 p.m.)
America's Funniest. . .Part II
Not a second episode of Home Videos, but another attempt at a
breakaway hit by the same producer: Jokes, impressions, and
one-liners by ordinary people fill a half-hour pilot whose original
title was Everything Else Funny About America. ABC (8:30-9 p.m.)
Movie: Platoon
Oliver Stone's first cinematic venture into Vietnam was this
overwhelming, explosive portrait of a young volunteer (Charlie Sheen)
whose illusions about the war are blown away by soldiers Willem Dafoe
and Tom Berenger. Winner of four 1986 Oscars, including Best Picture.
