The military tries to hijack a brilliant scientist's

Movie: The Trial of the Incredible Hulk
Talk about cracking under cross-examination! The big green guy
loses his cool in the courtroom in this 1989 post-series TV movie.
It's not quite as horrendous as the other Hulk movies-but that's not

The Knife and Gun Club
Another failed pilot, this one about a big-city emergency room
with a particularly violent clientele. ABC (10-11 p.m.)

The American Experience
A fascinating documentary about JFK's clash with Governor George
Wallace over integration at the University of Alabama. First
broadcast in 1963, this version was updated to include footage too
controversial for the original release and new interviews with key
players. PBS (9-10 p.m.)
4/WEDNESDAY
A Capitol Fourth 1990
E.G. Marshall is host of the annual concert from the West Lawn of
the Capitol. Henry Mancini and Mstislav Rostropovich lead the
National Symphony Orchestra in tunes like The New World Symphony and
Stars and Stripes Forever. PBS (8-9:30 p.m.)
Movie: Yankee Doodle Dandy
Even this colorized version of the '42 classic is guaranteed to
raise a patriotic lump in your throat. Cagney's portrayal of
song-and-dance man George M. Cohan won a much-deserved Oscar. TNT

On the Fourth of July with Charles Kuralt
A potpourri of portraits and vignettes from the On the Road
series, including interviews with author Eudora Welty, painter Andrew

Popular figures in American song and dance Shirley MacLaine,
