*Movie: Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome Mel Gibson reprises his role as post-apocalyptic hero Mad Max in this 1985 sequel. This time around, he fights a battle to the death in a Roman-style arena, is exiled to the desert, and is rescued by a band of wild children. Costarring Tina Turner as the cutthroat queen of Bartertown. NBC (9-11 p.m.)

*Movie: Who Gets the Friends? Jill Clayburgh and James Farentino star in this 1988 TV comedy about a group of friends upset by one couple's sudden divorce. CBS (9-11 p.m.)
