Credits

Mark Harmon stars as the famous '30s bank robber, and Twin Peaks' Sherilyn Fenn plays John Dillinger's main moll, Billie Frechette. Two sexy stars-this TV movie must be hot, right? Wrong: The story of Dillinger's rise and fall is slow and aimless, and his pursuit by the FBI will only remind you that director Brian De Palma did this sort of thing better in The Untouchables (1987). As for the actors, Harmon must be the stiffest sexiest-man-alive % imaginable; he always looks somewhat annoyed, and when he wants to show that Dillinger is thinking, he frowns ferociously and stops talking. This does not make for exciting TV. Fenn isn't given much more to do than to run her tongue across her lips and murmur, ''I never thought it would be this good.'' Frankly, Sherilyn, I thought it would be much better.D
