BAND OF BROTHERS ''Six Feet'''s Hall and Krause both got Emmy nods

This year's list of Emmy nominees, announced Thursday morning at the academy's North Hollywood headquarters by Laura Innes and Eric McCormack from perennial Emmy favorites ''ER'' and ''Will & Grace,'' included some new blood. (''Will & Grace'' was still the most nominated comedy, with 13 nods.) With ''The Sopranos'' out of the running, ''Six Feet Under'' filled the void, along with nods for drama newcomers ''The Shield,'' ''24,'' and ''Alias.'' ''Six Feet'' earned 23 nominations, edging out last year's drama winner ''The West Wing,'' which earned 21.

The ''Friends'' stars' gambit of nominating themselves for lead actor (not supporting actor) yielded nods for half the cast. Among networks, HBO led the pack with 93 nominations, followed by NBC (89), CBS (50), ABC (35), and Fox (33).

One Emmy winner is already certain. In the new category of interactive TV programming, the first-ever Emmy will go to HBO's miniseries ''Band of Brothers,'' the academy announced yesterday. Viewers with properly equipped screens could check out character bios and World War II factoids during the broadcasts. ''Brothers'' beat 77 other contenders for the award.

The 54th annual ceremony is scheduled to air Sept. 22 on NBC, from Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium, with a host yet to be named. A full list of nominees is available at emmys.org.
