There's a track on Cam'ron's new album ''Come Home With Me'' called ''Welcome to New York City.'' It doesn't offer the following tip, though maybe it should have: When looking for a parking space in Manhattan, don't use a forged Fire Department parking permit. That's what city cops allegedly spotted in the window of Cam'ron's SUV yesterday, leading to the ''Horse & Carriage'' rapper's arrest -- on drugs and weapons charges, as well as for criminal possession of a forged instrument.
According to the New York Daily News, police said they spotted the fake placard and pulled the rapper over around 5 p.m. Inside the car, police said they spotted some pot in plain view and a .22-caliber pistol. Police charged Cam'ron (real name: Cameron Giles) for the parking pass, in addition to charging him with criminal possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a weapon.
Cam'ron, whose nickname is Killa, recently apologized for dissing rival Nas' mother and young daughter on a new recording called ''Killa's Revenge.'' His single ''Oh Boy'' was at No. 9 last week on the Billboard chart.
