PAM'S INVOLVEMENT Despite saying she'll stop working to focus on her family life, Anderson is still involved in all aspects of the show, according to producer Albie Hecht. Next step, jokes Hecht: ''She's promised a big research trip -- she and Kid Rock are taking us out to all the strip joints.''

As the inspiration for Stripperella, Anderson will be voicing the main character and modeling her looks and movement for the animators (good thing she keeps that pole in her bedroom so she can perfect her dance moves!). She'll also record live-action opening and closing sequences for each episode. Behind the scenes, she's taking part in the development of the scripts and the visual look of the show, suggesting jokes, plot ideas, and special powers for her character. ''I've been a fan of hers for years,'' says creator Lee. ''I saw her in 'Baywatch' and 'Barb Wire,' so I KNOW what she's capable of.''

THE BOTTOM LINE Is Lee worried that mainstream America might not be ready for a buxom stripper superhero? Not really. ''If we draw her accurately and animate her movements right, male viewers will not be disappointed.'' On second thought, says Lee, ''It's really a family show...but for a highly sophisticated family.'' For his part, Seifert is certain of one thing: ''Strippers are definitely going to watch it.''
