It’s 1953, and Pierce Brosnan is Doyle, Desmond Doyle, a Dubliner who fights to win custody of his three children after his wife leaves the country with another man. Aided by Julianna Margulies and Aidan Quinn, he sets off to overturn one of Ireland’s longest-standing family-court laws.
