Jackson) to fill in as a spy, precisely because he's expendable -- an anti-James Bond operative built, supposedly, for a thrill-seeking younger audience. People! Wake up before it's too late! Diesel is a golem, an automaton! And this overpumped role for Diesel (following his success in last year's happy hunk o' junk The Fast and the Furious) is the fantasy of a short man with lifts in his boots.
