''Spin''

Details Lead Performance: Lifehouse

Don't underestimate the importance of being an earnest modern rocker. Someone has to provide the soundtrack for the lives of irony-deficient kids -- someone like Lifehouse, whose catchy new single chimes, ''You and I/I wouldn't change a thing.'' This TRL-ready tune recalls their 2001 hit ''Hanging by a Moment'' -- rousingly guitar-driven and with Jason Wade's serrated vocals adding grit to the overwrought lyrics. Let's see how long it takes The WB to use it in a series.
