In a disturbing scene in his new film One Hour Photo, Robin Williams' oddball photo technician snaps some au naturel pics of Michael Vartan's philandering husband. But, despite the dark overtones of the shoot, the funnyman went out of his way to ease the tension on the set. ''Robin must've done a 25-minute monologue on how the air-conditioning must have been too high,'' recalls Vartan, who also plays Jennifer Garner's CIA handler on Alias. As for Williams, he says he knows better than to pose nude himself. ''I'm a tad furry,'' he explains, ''so animal rights issues come into play. You'd get a lot of people saying 'Why are you wearing fur?'''
