Oops, She's Back Again

Britney Spears fans going through withdrawal now that she's on break from public life can ease symptoms with ''Stages,'' a coffee-table book complete with poster and DVD that's due out Nov. 26. Featuring 250 photos of her recent Dream Within a Dream tour, ''Stages'' is ''a chance to give a more complete portrait of her,'' says James Forni, president of NVU Editions, which is publishing the book.

Documentary film buffs may take a particular interest in the DVD: NVU hired noted documentarian Albert Maysles (''Gimme Shelter'') to shoot footage of the tour's last four days, including the infamous Mexico City concert during which Spears brandished her middle finger. And how did Maysles like working with Britney? ''It sounds stupid, but I'd never heard of [her].''
