Angelina Jolie's estrangement from papa Jon Voight is now so complete that she's legally dropped ''Voight'' as her last name. The Associated Press reports that a Los Angeles County judge granted the 27-year-old Oscar winner's petition to legally change her name from Angelina Jolie Voight to her professional name on Sept. 12.
Jolie filed the petition on July 3, AP reports. That's a month before her father's ''Access Hollywood'' interview, in which the 63-year-old Oscar winner complained that she hadn't let him see his grandchild, Cambodian adoptee Maddox, and pleaded for her to get help for unspecified ''mental problems.'' Jolie, who had costarred with her father in ''Lara Croft: Tomb Raider,'' responded in a statement, saying, ''I don't want to make public the reasons for my bad relationship with my father.... After all these years, I have determined that it is not healthy for me to be around my father, especially now that I am responsible for my own child.''
Jolie also filed to legally change the name of her son, born Rath Vibol, to Maddox Chivan Thornton Jolie. Two weeks later, she filed for divorce from husband of two years Billy Bob Thornton, from whom she had separated in June.
Jolie is about to start shooting the ''Lara Croft'' sequel in England. Voight recently finished shooting the family film ''Holes,'' with Sigourney Weaver and Patricia Arquette.
