Trouble on the set! In his ambitious feature directorial debut, ''CQ,'' Francis' son Roman Coppola examines the making of two movies that are constantly intertwining: One's a silly, set-in-the-year-2001 sci-fi thriller starring a babe in leather (Angela Lindvall); the other's a documentary set mainly in the 1969 Parisian apartment of novice filmmaker Paul (Jeremy Davies, looking like the middle brother of Ethan Hawke and Henry Thomas). There are some important questions here about identity and craft, but Coppola too often gets stuck in his own head and leaves his audience behind.
