The ex-star of the Elton John-penned Broadway musical Aida makes an R&B bid on this midtempo cut rife with descriptions of a good man: ''the bad times un-doer,'' ''the pleasure releaser,'' ''the dough increaser.'' The wordy effort suits her stage-ready enunciation and play-to-the-last-row belts. But thinking this will allow her to compete with the hip, breezy likes of urban queen Ashanti would be, um, foolish.
