A-
Bootlegs of unreleased Nas songs are as common as alleged R. Kelly sex tapes. On this official set of once-shelved tunes, the prolific MC is at his most introspective. The beats are spare and the boasts few as he addresses a philandering dad (''Poppa Was a Playa''), imagines life in the womb (''Fetus''), and sounds off on racism (''Black Zombie''). His gritty, yet hopeful, reflections make Lost Tapes a real find.
