Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer

Published by the folks who caught a killer wave with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series, KSPS benefits from the control scheme pioneered by its concrete-bound cousin. In fact, vets of the skate game might dismiss this as an ocean-drenched clone. That would be a shame, because it's a well-designed diversion in its own right. Yes, the wave graphics and backgrounds disappoint, and it lacks Tony Hawk's depth and polish. But Pro Surfer's an excellent first installment that offers gaming's best surfing experience. Wet suit optional.
