Can a band fronted by a nice Jewish boy make molten metal music? Disturbed leader David Draiman delivers quavering vocals that speak of a time spent in temple, and his lyrics address questions of faith and transcendence. Still, his group's second CD, Believe, more than fulfills its genre needs, offering up some of the catchiest, hardest, most original music of the nu-metal era.
